The Bank of Canada is warning that mortgage payments may increase by about 40% in the next few years.

Paulo Rocha is a Senior Mortgage Agent with Mortgage Scout Inc., with more than 35 years of experience helping people save smarter, keep more of what they earn, and grow their wealth. He started his career while studying Accounting and Economics at York University, and went on to work at some of Canada’s largest banks — RBC, TD Canada Trust, Scotiabank, and CIBC — where he helped clients with mortgages, credit strategies, and personal financial planning.

Before focusing on mortgages full-time, Paulo served as an Investment Advisor at Edward Jones, one of North America’s largest investment firms. There, he worked closely with families to build practical plans for investing, retirement, and estate protection — always keeping real-world goals at the centre.

A strong advocate for financial literacy, Paulo is especially passionate about helping the Luso-Canadian community take control of their financial future. He has been an active member of the community for years, serving as Vice-President of the Federation of Portuguese Canadian Business and Professionals (FPCBP) and now as a Director with ACAPO (Alliance of Portuguese Clubs and Associations of Ontario).
